Nutritional needs for developing children are particularly important in the early years of their lives. The basic components of the diet, such as vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and other important elements play a major role in the development of the brain, skeletal system and internal organs.
The daily diet of our child is not always rich in a full set of essential vitamins, especially children whose appetite is limited. A new supplement from the company Now Foods Kid Vits comes with the help. Easy-to-use lozenges have been composed for the youngest children in order to effectively counteract deficiencies of vitamins and minerals. The tablets do not contain sugar, and the sweetener xylitol is responsible for their very good, sweet taste.
Vitamin A - is essential for the proper functioning of the eyes and the immune system. It also regulates the cell growth cycle. Vitamin A deficiency has serious consequences especially in children. Statistics indicate that as many as 14 million pre-school children struggle with eye damage. Vitamin A deficiencies are also associated with more severe forms of infection, for example measles or diarrheal diseases. Vitamin A deficiencies occur when the amount of vitamins provided with the diet is disproportionate to the body's needs. Therefore, the need for this vitamin is particularly important in the phase of growth and development of the young body.
Vitamin C - is treated by many parents and doctors as a panacea for a cold, in fact it helps fight microbes, but it also has great importance in the process of developing the gums and bones and the proper functioning of the circulatory system. In addition, it strengthens the immunity of the child and is crucial for the brain and also improves the appetite.
Vitamin D - is crucial for the healthy bones of the child, as well as for its overall normal development. Statistics regretfully show that only 10 percent of children in Poland receive the right dose of vitamin D. Together with calcium, it has beneficial effects on the nervous system, prevents rickets, strengthens the heart and soothes inflammation. In addition, vitamin D regulates the secretion of insulin, which affects the appropriate level of sugar in the blood. Research shows that it stimulates the bone marrow to produce defense cells and prevents some cancers.
Vitamin E - is responsible for building cells, thanks to which wounds heal faster and the body can fight infections by producing antioxidants.
Vitamin B1 - otherwise thiamine is a coenzyme involved in a number of processes to which we can include in the transformation of carbohydrates, alcohol and in nucleotide synthesis. It stimulates the appetite, therefore it is recommended for children who are not eager to consume meals, facilitate cellular respiration, regulate the nervous system and muscles and the heart. Thiamine is responsible for the proper growth and development of the young body. Vitamin B1 is particularly recommended in disorders of heart rhythm, overactive thyroid gland, diabetes, burns, nutritional deficiencies and prolonged diarrhea.
Vitamin B2 - Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) supports the child's mental development and participates in metabolic processes and the creation of red blood platelets.
Niacin - is needed to maintain a healthy circulatory system and metabolism, especially in the regulation of the appropriate level of cholesterol in the blood. In addition, niacin positively affects the proper functioning of the brain, prevents the occurrence of diabetes and cares for the proper condition of the skin.
Vitamin B6- exerts a beneficial effect on the general mood, is responsible for restful sleep, reduces the feeling of pain and prevents the occurrence of various types of chronic diseases. Its level is reduced, among other things, by stress. It is a vitamin with a multidirectional effect. It is involved in many enzymatic reactions and its normal level is crucial in maintaining and promoting health.
Vitamin B12 - belongs to a group of vitamins that are soluble in water. It is known under other names: cobalamin or cyanocobalamin. It is not a single substance but a chemical compound containing, inter alia, cobalt. Deficiencies of vitamin B12 are particularly dangerous and mainly concern the psychological sphere, the nervous system and the hematopoietic system. VItamin B12 acts as a non-protein component of the enzyme necessary for its activity in the production of monoamine neurotransmitters important for the brain: dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine. Cobalamin deficiency results in impaired synthesis of these important neurotransmitters, which may result in limited cell communication capacity in the central nervous system.
Biotin - is part of the vitamin B group, although it is not a vitamin. It is a coenzyme that works in combination with vitamins. It is necessary for the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins. As a coenzyme, it participates in many processes and is used by every cell in the body. Biotin is involved in energy metabolism and plays an important role in the use of glucose. It is necessary for the growth and replication of cells and allows the creation and maintenance of chemical structures of keratin (the main protein found in hair and nails). Biotin is soluble in water and its excess is eliminated in the urine.
Calcium - is the basic building block of bones and teeth, but is also an ally in the process of normal blood clotting and muscle development. It is therefore an extremely important ingredient that should not be missing, especially in the child's body during growth.
